Quick Update

Apologies for not updating for a few days; I have no idea why! Actually, my next post was going to be pictures of my thrift store purchases from last weekend but I somehow never got around to it. Maybe because it's so gloomy these days (=natural lighting for pictures absent =C )

Updates as of right now; I'm currently at the school library so this is going to be quite a boring post. *you have been warned* I'm falling behind in school a bit so I'm getting help with some stuff in the next few days.

But of course, we mustn't forget about Halloween! I'll be a pirate and will celebrate in town with friends / sleep over at Sabrina's hopefully. DO leave a comment on what you're being / doing for teh Hallow's Eve! :D

Anywho, I'll go home and take pictures of the clothings and update that tomorrow. (Or hopefully I will) And will definitely take pictures on Halloween as well. TAH FOR NOW!

Stanley Park

Went to Stanley Park with Clinton yesterday. I really like just going there (not too far in) and doing nothing. It was freezing yesterday but the weather was incredibly nice :D I had suuch a good day with him. (Also went to Value Village, chilled in town, and his house) !

天使の卵

"Angel's Egg - Tenshi No Tamago" (1985) : Amazing animation film. I fell in love with if from the very beginning somehow. I think it's a very philosophical and a unique piece. It's absolutely beautiful...

"a young girl is the sole protector of a very precious, large egg. her lair is near a large, abandoned, decaying gothic city inhabited by restless shadows. a mysterious young man arrives one day, and eventually wins her trust. they converse sparsely about obscure philosophical and theological topics, and she shows him some astonishing fossils and works of historic and scientific art. the ending is a bit shocking, and very ambiguous, leaving many unanswered questions and tons of room for interpretation."

For those who aren't exactly looking for an artistic animation piece, this might bore you to sleep. It doesn't have much talking involved, and has many untied ends to things but otherwise, I thought it was brilliant. This piece really put me in a trance.

School School...

We have a short week this week though, with two half days on Wednesday and Thursday and no school Friday. WOOT. Easy peasy. I don't have much to update with though so... here comes mobile uploads.

Sarah looking gawjizz (Gorgeous) in Drawing and Painting class (: I'm done my distortion project, and will get a picture of it if I get the chance. I guess I'll start working on an upcoming project...



Alex lookin baaaallin in Media Arts. That class man... I have no idea what I'm doing in that class. I have to work on a project I forgot to do, there's this new thing I don't understand, something about the year book...



Had lunch with Jenicca today after we had English. We watched Into The Wild and now we're doing an essay on relationships within the human race. I'm actually really into it!!

Anywho, I think I'm whipping out my DSLR tomorrow so I'll get some pictures taken I can update with next!

Labret

Or side labret or side lip, or whatever you wanna call it. I think it's more of a 'lip piercing' but I like calling it labret anyways (though it's not in the center) So I went to Adrenaline on Saturday and got it done for about $75.

It was my sixth (ninth including my closed up lobes) piercing and.. least painful one I've gotten for the actual piercing part. It didn't hurt whatsoever (funny thing is, my lobes were the most painful.) I absolutely love it and is definitely worth it.



It bugged me a bit after I got it done, couldn't chew gum, etc. But after about 3 hours I got completely used to it. It's still a bit weird because you use the mouth a lot and it's currently pretty swollen in the inside. But it should get better within a week. The aftercare's been pretty easy, washing it with baby soap on the outside and rinsing my mouth at least 5 times a day with solution (salt water) ... it's in good condition (: !!
